Interview:

There is a possible spiritual level to all music for those who choose to think of music in that way. Death Metal, for example, may be very physical for some but very spiritual for others. It depends on how your body and mind are receiving the music experience, even in a live show with your favorite band. Normally I would say it’s a combination of the two. Physical in a sense of an unleashed bodily fury which is the pure essence of man that we have inherited long ago. Spiritual in a sense of extreme satisfaction from being able to unleash what’s inside, as opposed to keeping it inside of you. Mark the importance of this in a world where many people let their aggression go out over others, normally called meaningless violence. Some would call this spiritual, others would think of it as just a physical satisfaction. Nevertheless, this is why Death Metal is extremely fit for the modern man. It is the highest form of art, and it’s legal!
