Interview:

Music is the body of one’s soul. Without music there would be no inner peace or direction. It only takes a little effort to discover and enjoy for a lifetime how music can enrich one’s self. For me personally, I don’t know what I would do or how I would go about my existence without music, and I am not just referring to Metal. The beauty of music is how it touches the soul and spirit of one’s inner core, whether it be Metal, Jazz, Country, Hip-Hop, or whatever to spark that inner flame.

Music has been part of the human experience ever since man could produce it. Music brings out passion; evokes the innermost feelings and emotions to the surface from within one’s spirit, and intensity of life. Music has a softer inner side that often one does not wish to share, for personal reasons, which is also a pleasure to the soul- the music one keeps secret only to themselves, so to speak. Life as we know it would be boring if music did not have the spiritual stronghold on our souls, our spirituality, and our existence; inside and out, through and through.

“Life would be boring if music did not have a spiritual stronghold on our souls, spirituality, and existence.”
– John Astl, guitarist in Resurrection
