Interview:

The medium of art and music give a conscious perspective in feeling love and anger, traits of a human subconscious. A gift that no other animal in this world shares. To feel love is the greatest gift in the world. I could be given all the gems and possessions in the universe, but without love, I would be the poorest person in the world. Understanding different aspects of love, losing its trust, can turn the anger into forgiveness, understanding and living the pain can empathize and bring forgiveness.

Art and music are mankind’s keys to immortality. Though our bodies are organic and deteriorate over time, art has a longer shelf-life in turn inspiring new generations of thought, feeling and conversation. My favourite kinds of art are ones that spark thought provoking insights, and uncomfortable but true controversy. I think the reason is every piece of ‘thought art’ contributes to a better world by trying to change it for good. After all, ideas are bulletproof.

My creative life has taught me the pleasures in walking the path of mastery. What I mean by that, is you become persistent in trying to be good at a task and all those hours trying to achieve mastery is free self-entertainment. For others they might have to gamble or go shopping to get that thrill, in turn spending money. But give me one guitar and 10,000 hours to spare and I can be self-entertained for a lifetime for little or no money. Although I might need a drawer full of spare guitar strings too.
