Interview:

I believe that humans are spiritual beings, created and breathed into existence by a God who transcends the physical universe – He reigns over all the spiritual and physical realities we experience. Music is significant because the melodies, chord progressions, rhythms, and lyrics that make up a song or musical piece, create a bridge that enables us to connect more meaningfully with the spiritual realm that we exist in. We can step aside from what is tangible, and in a moment of appreciation of the beauty of a song – experience something that is outside of this physical world. I believe this experience is either an encounter with the presence of the Living God – the ‘Father of Lights’, or with the Prince of Darkness – Satan and his power. Music can be channeled for either good, or evil. Our band – the Luminous Sky, has a vision for our music to bring light, to be ‘Luminous’ wherever it is played, whether live or on a CD. We invite the presence of God – the Father of Lights and Creator of the Universe to be present in our music, and for God to work for Good in people’s lives through it. Once after we’d played at a bar in Costa Rica, a guy told us that he had seen a kind of ‘glow’ or ‘aura’ around us when we were playing, and that hehad to find out what was different about us. We were humbled that God would reveal Himself in this way through us, and thrilled that we got to share with this guy, that it was the power of The Living God he was experiencing, and that God loved him so much that he would reveal himself miraculously like that – to draw this guy to Himself!
