Interview:

“THE ART OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE”

We are all amazing, creative beings with limitless potential and vivid imaginations. Yet only through opening our hearts do we allow our talent to truly blossom and realize our innate, universal artistic gifts. I have come to know this personally in my own evolving journey. Over the years as I have explored my own inner nature and the value of cultivating a loving perspective, I have also embraced my creative essence. The more I express my creative self, I find my experience of life becoming increasingly more vibrant and alive.

Socially and culturally we often ignore our creative nature and instead rely on our logical and rational aspects to direct our routine lives. We frequently allow others to influence us with their perspectives too. This leads to suppressing, ignoring, or even abandoning our earliest creative intuitive connections. In our efforts to participate in a rather regimented and linear world, we cease to nurture our imaginative spirit. The more we disconnect ourselves from this core center, the greater our difficulties, challenges and our ability to flourish—individually and collectively.

Creativity is the foundation of our lives. We easily restore our connection by first accepting ourselves unconditionally. We have innumerable talents and abilities, and they can find expression in many unexpected ways. For me, I have found writing to be one way I now express myself creatively. Writing was never a strong interest and I never seemed to excel at it in school either. However, as my inner exploration nudged me in numerous ways, I allowed myself the “possibility” that I could write and convey my thoughts. I am glad I listened to my heart; these days between several published books, essays, and inspirational messages, I reach a worldwide audience with my written words.

It was the act of forgiving myself, my past, the people, places, and experiences that influenced my life, both positively and negatively, that ignited the spark of my creative awareness. Allowing love to permeate my conscious approach to life also brought a renewed confidence and willingness to try different ways to express myself. It quickly became obvious that even our every day routines have a creative component, albeit limited in scope and expression. My newfound insights encouraged me to redefine the concept of creativity and my relationship with it. Life itself is creation that expresses itself through the art of unconditional love.

Embracing our creative essence allows us to imagine new possibilities, and when we add the key ingredient of love, we paint our canvas of life with our own colors. In this way, we touch the lives of others, reminding them of their boundless potential. Allow yourself to express the unique gifts you came here to share and the world will come to know your life as a masterpiece.
