Interview:

We believe that there is no spiritual significance of music. In our opinion, modern man is at a loss as far as metaphysical entities are concerned. On the one hand, God or spirituality in general, is in our belief a mere social construct people created in order to be given meaning. On the other hand, this construct served as a means of oppression for far too long. From the belief that there is nothing which one cannot grasp with one’s own rationality follows that all meaning is to be found in oneself. It is us who make the choices, and it is us who are held responsible for them. That means that in our modern age you are given the great opportunity to decide on your own will. In turn that means that every decision is harder to make. Every decision shapes our individuality and so falls back on us. That is something one has to bear in mind. The only thing you may call “spiritual” may be what the people and us experience at a concert, but we really do not want to put that label on it. We rather think that at a concert you can let go the harshness of everyday life; you can vent your anger, you can have fun, and you can behave whichever way pleases you.
