Interview:

I believe that the spiritual side is greatly responsible for all the music composed from the heart. If there is a God, then music is certainly our way to talk with him. No man on the face of the Earth is free of feelings and emotions. In Desolate Ways we have tried to turn all our distresses, fears, and questions into music. Where do we come from? What’s our destination? Is there something after death? What’s the purpose of our lives, since the beginning until the end? I don’t believe in God, but I’d be glad of his existence so we all could find meaning in our lives. What I find in music is a perfect way to share my thoughts and my way of thinking. Music is the fuel of life, helping us to live, and to remember things. I’ve been a great enthusiast of music ever since I was ten years-old when I first listened to songs from Black Sabbath and Sisters Of Mercy. I still have the same feelings I had in moments of my childhood and teenage years, just like I’ve been living them again through the music. I see music as the only way for a man to become immortal, because when everything is gone, when our lives are gone, we will still live through our records, and other people will be able to pay attention to our lyrics and remember our names. For me, music comes from the heart and is the true prayer.
