Interview:

Since I was a boy I have been a student and lover of music, and now have evolved to a very good place where music can flow effortlessly. At the same time, I have also had a very deep interest in what separates people, and what brings people together. As well what brings peace and contentment to the heart and mind. My greatest test subject has been myself. So far what I have learned is that being spiritual is that evolutionary force that takes us from duality to unity. All the spiritual traditions are pointing to the same truth. All signs and symbols are universal. The universe will always reflect your consciousness of that moment. For example, if you are a person that doesn’t like other cultures or races, or feel that your religion is the only one with the truth, your thoughts and energy will attract the same kind of people and energy. Unfortunately for these people they are blocking their energy to greater flow and efficiency.

So what does this mean for the contemporary artist or musician and for humanity? I think that music and artists will always reflect what is to come for humanity. Artists are always a little ahead of their time. The past twenty years we have seen great artists like Peter Gabriel, Sting, Paul Simon, Ry Cooder collaborate with other musicians from other cultures with great success. This explosion of world music right now is awesome. Our universe is moving towards a greater integration and unity between the arts, sciences, environment, and the spiritual world. I am hopeful as I see many wonderful leaders in all walks of life who are evolving towards unity. For now I am trying to do my part and “be the change I want to see in the world”. I hope my music reflects that!
